Epicycloid creates beautiful animated patterns by visualizing real powers of unit complex numbers. In elementary terms, imagine drawing several lines of varying colors, each having one endpoint fixed at some angle on a circle while the other endpoint sweeps around the circle at a speed proportional to the anchoring angle. If the number of lines is large, the result is a striking diagram of interlaced curves. Features: Drag to move the diagram around. Pinch to expand and contract the size of the diagram. Set the speed at which the exponent increases or decreases. Set the speed at which the number of lines increases or decreases. Set the transparency and line width. Supported for iOS 5.1 on iPhone and iPad.
